Three people report relatives resembling the Cirebon bomber

West Java Police chief Insp. Gen. Suparni Parto confirmed that three people who reported their relatives missing have contacted the police after viewing on television a photograph of the suicide bomber that attacked the Cirebon Police mosque.

The suicide bomber struck during Friday prayers at the mosque in the Cirebon Police compound, injuring 26 people.

The three people, considered by their relatives to be missing, bore facial similarities with that of the suicide bomber. The police plan to conduct DNA tests on the three people to match the results with that of the suicide bomber. However, the police had not yet begun the tests as of Saturday.

“There are no DNA tests yet,” Suparni said early on Saturday, as reported by tribunnews.com.

It was previously reported that the police had questioned the family of Muhammad Syarif, a resident of Cirebon, who bore physical similarities with the suicide bomber.
